South Africa chased down the mammoth 359 target in the second ODI to level the series 1-1 against India. They done it in the final over with six wickets remaining.

Toss

India’s record 20th consecutive lost toss saw South Africa put them in to bat.

India Innings

A 195 run partnership off 156 balls by Kohli and Gaikwad powered India to a mammoth total. Ruturaj Gaikwad (105) and Virat Kohli (102) recorded his 84th International century.

K.L.Rahul’s unbeaten 66* off 43 balls at the end helped India reach 358. Jadeja scored 24* runs from 27 balls.

Marco Jansen (2/63 in 10 overs) , Nandre Burger (1/43 in 6.1 overs) and Lungi Ngidi (1/51 in 10 overs).

South Africa Innings

Opener Aiden Markram’s 110 off 98 balls set the momentum for their chase. Innings of Bavuma (46) , Breetze (68) and Dewald Brevis (54) pushed them closer to the target.

Corbin Bosch’s unbeaten 29 off 15 balls guided them across the line in the final over. Dew played a major role, making batting easier in the second innings.
