After winning the toss Australia elected to bowl first , looking to make the most of the early conditions at Optus stadium. With some moisture and overcast skies expected, the Australian bowlers will aim to exploit any movement on offer and put India top order under pressure.

What captains said?

Mitchell Marsh:- “We are going to bowl first. It looks like a pretty good wicket – hopefully , it’s hard and fast. There’s a little bit of moisture around, so we will look to make the most of that early on. It’s always a huge honour to lead the country , and doing it in front of a home croed makes it even more special. Six batters , one keeper and four bowlers”.
