
India defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs to book the Asia Cup 2025 final berth. India set Bangladesh 169 run target and bowled them out for 127 in 20 overs. Winners of Pakistan vs Bangladesh match will play against India on final.
Toss
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first.
India Innings
Openers Abhishek Sharma (75 runs from 37 balls) and Shubman Gill (29 runs from 19 balls) once again given India off to a flying start. Both together scored 77 runs from 6.2 overs for the first wicket. Rishad Hossain dismissed Gill to provide first breakthrough when he tried to hit a six over long off which was caught by Tanzim Hasan Shakib.
Shivam Dube who was promoted to No.3 didn’t last long. He scored only just 2 runs from 3 balls before Rishad Hossain got him. Abhishek Sharma’s brisk innings helps India to score at brisk rate. He scored two back to back half centuries before he was eventually run out.

Team India lost the momentum after Abhishek’s wicket as Bangladesh were able to put brake in India’s run scoring. New batters find it difficult to score runs freely. Hardik Pandya (38 runs from 29 balls) innings helped India to reach 168 at the end.

Rishad Hossain (2/27 in 3 overs) , Tanzim Hasan Shakib (1/29 in 4 overs) , Mustafizur Rahman (1/33 in 4 overs) and Mohammad Saifuddin (1/37 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Innings
Chasing 169 on a tough wicket to bat on Bangladesh lost their opener Tanzid Hasan cheaply for just 1 to Jasprit Bumrah. Opener Saif Hasan and Parvez Hossain Emon brought Bangladesh back on track with 42 run partnership in 30 balls.
Kuldeep took the very important wicket of Parvez Hossain Emon (21 runs from 19 balls) straight after the powerplay. After that Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals and they were never in the chase.

Saif Hasan fights alone for Bangladesh with his 69 run knock from 51 balls. He was lucky that India was sloppy in the field couple of times.
