England women beat India women by 8 wickets in rain hit match at Lords to level the series 1-1. England chased down revised target of 115 runs in 21 overs under DLS method with 8 wickets remaining. Sophie Ecclestone named Player of the Match for her outstanding bowling figures of 3 for 27 in 6 overs.
The start of the match was delayed for 4 hours due to persistent rain and damp outfield. The match then reduced to 29 over a side contest. England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt won the toss and put India into bat.

India lost their opener Pratika Rawal (3 runs from 10 balls) early to pacer Em Arlott. Smriti Mandhana (42 runs from 51 balls) and Harleen Deol (16 runs from 24 balls) put together 40 runs from 46 runs for the second wicket before Sophie Ecclestone took a return catch to dismiss Harleen Deol.
Indian then lost Harmanpreet Kaur (7 runs from 9 balls) , Jemimah Rodrigues (3 runs from 8 balls) and Richa Ghosh (2 runs from 7 balls) cheaply. England bowlers put Indian batters under pressure by picking wickets at regular intervals.

Smriti Mandhana (42 runs from 51 balls) and Deepti Sharma (30 runs from 34 balls) innings dragged India to 143/8 in 29 overs.
Sohphie Ecclestone (3/27 in 6 overs) outstanding performance with ball helps England restrict India. Em Arlott (2/26 in 6 overs) , Linsey Smith (2/28 in 5 overs) and Charlie Dean (1/31 in 6 overs) are the other wicket takers for England.

England openers Amy Jones (46* runs from 57 balls) and Tammy Beamount (34 runs from 35 balls) given England solid start in the chase by scoring 54 runs in 10.2 overs. Sneh Rana broke the opening stand by dismissing Rana by trapping Beamount infront of the stumps while she tried to reverse sweep.

Rain forced to stop the game for the second time when England were 102/1 in 18.4 overs. England target then revised to 115 in 24 overs. Pacer Kranti Goud clean bowled England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt (21 runs from 25 balls) after the break.
