BCCI confirmed that IPL 2025 will resume on May 17 with a clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders. Bengaluru , Jaipur , Delhi , Lucknow , Mumbai and Ahmedabad are the selected venues for the final 17 matches. Final will be played on June 3 and venues for the play off will be revealed later.
Indian Premier League 2025 edition suspended for a week from May 9 by BCCI due to India – Pakistan border tension. Punjab Kings versus Delhi Capitals match abandoned midway after dramatic incidents occur on last Thursday(May 8) night.

In revised schedule 13 League games and 4 playoff will be played. The match between Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals which was called off on May 8 in Dharmasala will be played again.

BCCI said in a statement that they decided to proceed with the tournament ‘after extensive consultations with government and security agencies, and with all the key stakeholders’.
Currently Gujarat Titans tops the points table with 8 wins from 11 matches. RCB also have 8 wins from 11 matches but Gujarat Titans tops the table with better Net Run Rate. Chennai Super Kings , Rajasthan Royals and Sunrises Hyderabad already eliminated from playoff spot.
In revised schedule includes only two double headers , both on Sundays. The biggest challenge for the 10 franchises will be to bring back their oversees players and support staff who had begun flying back home over weekend.
