RCB beat Mumbai Indians by 12 runs for the first time since 2015 at Wankhede in last over thriller. Chasing 222 run target Mumbai finishes on 209/9 in their 20 overs. RCB captain Rajat Patidar named Player of the Match for his knock of 64 runs from 32 balls.

Opener Virat Kohli (67 runs from 42 balls) and Devdutt Padikkal (37 runs from 22 balls) given RCB good start after loosing Phil Salt (4 runs from 2 balls) in the first over of the innings to Trent Boult. For the 31st time in IPL , Trent Boult strike in the first over of the innings.

Captain Rajat Patidar innings of 64 runs from 32 balls including 5 fours and 4 sixes and wicket keeper Jithesh Sharma’s cameo of 40 runs from 19 balls took them to 221/5 in 20 overs.

Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal put together 91 runs from 52 balls for the second wicket and Jithesh Sharma and Rajat Patidar scored 69 runs from 27 balls for the fifth wicket for RCB.

Hardik Pandya (2/45 in 4 overs) , Trent Boult (2/57 in 4 overs) and Vignesh Puthur (1/10 in 1 over) are the wicket takers for Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians lost both their openers Rohit Sharma (17 runs from 9 balls) and Ryan Rickelton (17 runs from 10 balls) inside the powerplay. Yash Dayal clean bowled Rohit Sharma and Josh Hazlewood trapped Ryan Rickelton in front of the stumps. At the end of the powerplay they were 54/2.

Will Jacks got out to Krunal Pandya after scoring 22 runs from 18 balls and Suryakumar Yadhav fell to Hardik Pandya after scoring 28 runs from 26 balls after been dropped by RCB fielders.

Tilak Varma (56 runs from 29 balls) and Hardik Pandya (42 runs from 15 balls) innings kept them in the game with 89 run partnership from 34 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Tilak Varma and Josh Hazlewood dismissed Hardik Pandya at crucial juncture to brought RCB back in the game.

19 required to win in the final over for Mumbai , Krunal Pandya took 3 wickets for giving just 6 runs to give RCB thrilling final over win.
