Delhi Capitals beat Chennai Super Kings by 25 runs in Chepauk after 15 years and moves to the top of the table. Delhi restricted CSK to 158/5 in 20 overs after setting them 184 run target. K.L.Rahul named Player of the Match for his knock of 77 runs from 51 balls.

Elected to bat first , K.L.Rahul (77 runs from 51 balls) and Abishek Porel (33 runs from 20 balls) given Delhi the start needed by scoring 54 runs from 36 balls after loosing Jake Fraser-McGurk for without scoring in the first over of the innings to Khaleel Ahmed.

Left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja broke the partnership by dismissing Abishek Porel in the seventh over of the innings. K.L.Rahul played an outstanding innings of 77 runs from 51 balls including 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Tristan Stubbs (24* runs from 12 balls) , Sammer Rizvi (20 runs from 15 balls) and captain Axar Patel (21 runs from 14 balls) innings also helped them to reach 183/6 in 20 overs. At one stage Delhi looked poised to reach a score over 200 but CSK bowlers done well in final 5 overs to restrict them to 183.

Khaleel Ahmed (2/25 in 4 overs) , Ravindra Jadeja (1/19 in 2 overs) , Matheesha Pathirana (1/31 in 4 overs) and Noor Ahmed (1/36 in 3 overs) are the wicket takers for Chennai.

Chasing the target CSK lost their top order batters Rachin Ravindra (3 runs from 6 balls) , Ruturaj Gaikwad (5 runs from 4 balls) and Devon Conway (13 runs from 14 balls) cheaply. Shivam Dube who came to bat as an impact player scored 18 runs from 15 balls before he got out to Vipraj Nigam.

Kuldeep Yadhav trapped Ravindra Jadeja infront of the stumps for just 2 to push CSK further back to 74/5 in 10.4 overs. Vijay Shankar (69* runs from 54 balls) and M.S.Dhoni (30* runs from 26 balls) efforts went in vain as CSK fell short by 25 runs. Both put together unbeaten 84 runs from 57 balls for the sixth wicket.

Vipraj Nigam (2/27 in 4 overs) , Mitchell Starc (1/27 in 4 overs) , Kuldeep Yadhav (1/30 in 4 overs) and Mukesh Kumar (1/36 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for Delhi.
