Delhi Capitals beat Mumbai Indians by a narrow two wickets in last ball thriller Women Premier League 2025. Chasing 165 run target tail ender Arundatti Reddy hit 2 runs of the final ball to give Delhi Capitals winning start in the tournament.
Batted first , Mumbai Indians lost their openers Hayley Mathews (0 runs from 2 balls) and Yasthika Bhatia (11 runs from 9 balls) cheaply. Shikha Pandey dismissed both openers.

Nat Sciver-Brunt (80 runs from 59 balls) and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (42 runs from 22 balls) innings took them to a decent total of 164. Both together added 73 runs from 40 balls.
After Nat Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet Kaur partnership broken by Annabel Sutherland Mumbai Indians collapsed from 105/2 to 164 all out in 19.1 overs.
Annabel Sutherland (3/34 in 3.1 overs) , Shikha Pandey (2/14 in 4 overs) , Minnu Mani (1/23 in 4 overs) and Alice Capsey (1/25 in 2 overs) are the wicket takers for Delhi Capitals.
Opener Shafali Varma (43 runs from 18 balls) given Delhi a brisk start in the chase by scoring 60 ruins in the powerplay along with captain Meg Lanning (15 runs from 19 balls) before she got out to Hayley Mathews.

Mumbai Indians then back in to the game by picking wickets at regular intervals and pushed Delhi Capitals back. Niki Prasad (35 runs from 33 balls) and Sarah Bryce (21 runs from 10 balls) innings brought them back in to the game.
Needed 10 runs to win in the final over bowled by Sajeevan Sajana , Delhi batter Niki Prasad hit a boundary of the first ball , then took double and a single before she got out in the fifth ball leaving Delhi 2 run to win in the final ball.
