Left hand opening batter Devon Conway and right arm fast medium bowler Matt Henry included in Kane Willamson led Newzealand T20 World cup squad. Matt Henry set to play his first T20 World Cup.

“Matt has worked exceptionally hard on his skills across the phases of a T20 game to come back into selection consideration ,” head coach Gary Stead said.

Adam Milne ruled out of the tournament due to ankle injury. Rachin Ravindra and Matt Henry are the two kiwis players in the squad going to play their first T20 World Cup.

“I think the injury to Adam Milne was really tough on him but it probably made it easier for us in some ways in terms of getting the squad that we wanted,” stead said.

Kyle Jamieson also ruled out from NZ squad as he continues his long recovery from another stress fracture in his lower back.

Trent Boult and Tim Southee are the pace bowlers with Jimmy Neesham and Daryl Mitchell as pace bowling allrounders. Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi will lead the spin attack.

Newzealand will start their campaign against Afghanistan in Guyana on June 7^th.
