Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 1 run in the last ball thriller at Eden Gardens. Chasing 223 run target Royal Challengers Bangalore bowled out for 221 runs in 20 overs. Andre Russel named Player of the Match for his all round performance.

Phil Salt (48 runs from 14 balls) innings including 7 fours and 3 sixes given KKR off to a flying start by scoring 56 runs in 4.2 overs before Mohammad Siraj dismissed him. Then left arm paces Yash Dayal dismissed Sunil Narine (10 runs from 15 balls) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (3 runs from 4 balls) in the 6th over. At the end of power play they were 75/3.

Andre Russel brought KKR back in the game by dismissing Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar in the 12th over of the innings. Sunil Narine then dismissed Cameron Green (6 runs from 4 balls) in the next over to push RCB to 151/5 in 12.3 overs.
Suyash Prabhudessai who came as impact player scored 24 runs from 18 balls before he got out to Harshit Rana. Dinesh Karthik(25 runs from 18 balls) who was RCB’s last hope dismissed by Andre Russel in the final ball of the 19th over when they still needed 21 more to win.
21 runs to win in the final over Karan Sharma hit 3 sixes in first 4 balls bowled by Mitchell Starc. 3 needed of 2 balls Starc took a brillant caught and bowled to dismiss Karan Sharma. Wicket keeper Phil Salt managed to run out Lookie Ferguson in the final ball while he tries to run the double to give KKR one run win.
