Kerala cricketers Asha Sobhana and Sajana Sajeevan included in the 16 member Indian women squad for the upcoming 5 match T20I series against Bangladesh. Both have earned their maiden India call up.

Asha was the second highest wicket taker in recently concluded WPL 2024. She picked 12 wickets for RCB. Sajana picked for his big hitting ability in the final stage of the innings.

Jemimah Rodrigues failed to find a place in the squad due to niggle. Batting allrounder D Hemalatha and left-arm spinning allrounder Radha Yadhav made a comeback into the squad.

Allrounders Minnu Mani , Kanika Ahuja and Mannat Kashyap dropped from the squad that was picked for the home T20I series against Australia in January this year.

So far India women and Bangladesh women played 13 T20I’s in which India won 11 times and Bangladesh won twice.

Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the squad with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy.
