Chennai to host IPL 2024 final

Chepauk stadium in Chennai will host the qualifier 2 and the final of IPL 2024 for the first time in 12 years. Narendra Modi stadium in Motera , Ahmedabad will host the qualifier 1 and the eliminator.

Earlier BCCI released schedule for the first 21 games which is scheduled to be held from March 22nd to April 7th. Complete schedule was not released earlier because of the country’s general election which is to be held in April.

Second part of the tournament will begin from April 8th between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chepauk.

Ten teams in IPL divided into two. First group consists of Chennai Super Kings , Gujarat Titans , Royal Challengers Bangalore , Sunrises Hyderabad and Punjab Kings. Second group comprises Mumbai Indians , Rajastan Royals , Kolkata Knight Riders , Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.

Each teams will play against the other four teams in their group twice and four teams in the other group once and twice against the remaining team in their total tally of 14 matches.
