Dean Elgar (140* runs from 211 balls) helps South Africa to reach 256/5 after bowled India out for 245 on Day 2 of first test in Super Sport Park , Centurion. Currently they are ahead by 11 runs with 5 wickets remaining.
K.L.Rahul’s (101 runs from 137 balls) century took India to a respectable total of 245 in first innings. Resuming overnight score of 208/8 India added another 37 more runs to the total.

Pacer Kagiso Rabada done most of the damage to the Indian batting line up by picking 5 wickets for 59 runs in his 20 overs. Nandre Burger (3/50 in 15.4 overs) , Marco Jansen (1/52 in 16 overs) and Gerald Coetzee (1/74 in 16 overs) are the other wicket takers for South Africa.

Mohammad Siraj given India a good start by dismissing opener Aiden Makram for just 5. Tony de Zorzi (28 runs from 62 balls) and Dean Elgar added 93 runs from 153 balls for the second wicket and given South Africa the start needed.
Jasprit Bumrah’s double strike by dismissing Tony de Zorzi and Keegan Petersen in quick succession pushed South Africa to 113/3 from 104/1.

David Bedingham (56 runs from 87 balls) who makes his debut along with Dean Elgar who announced retirement from test cricket put together 131 runs from 182 balls helped South Africa to took lead on Day 2. Mohammad Siraj clean bowled David David Bedingham to broke the century stand.
Wicket Keeper batter Kyle Verreynne who walks to bat at No.6 got out cheaply for 4 to Prasidh Krishna. Opener Dean Elgar and Marco Jansen (3* runs from 13 balls) were at the crease when bad light forced the match to stop early for the day.
