Rajasthan Royals batted first, set 244 run target and bowled out Sunrises Hyderabad for 196 in 19.2 overs. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi earned Player of the Match award after smashing 97 runs from just 29 balls.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi provided Rajasthan Royals a flying start, smashing 97 runs from just 29 balls. Along with Yashasvi Jaiswal the opening pair added 125 runs in 8 overs. Fifteen year old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi missed the opportunity to score fastest IPL hundred after falling three runs short.

Spinner Shivang Kumar provided Rajasthan Royals second breakthrough by dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal for 29. Dhruv Jurel and Riyan Parag maintained momentum scoring 50 from 21 and 26 from 12 balls respectively. In the final five overs, Sunrises Hyderabad bowled brilliantly, conceding just 36 runs and taking five wickets.

At the end of 20 overs, Rajasthan Royals finished on 243 for 8.

SRH got off terrible start, losing Abhishek Sharma to second ball duck off Jofra Archer. During the powerplay they scored 71 runs but lost four crucial wickets. Archer picker three out of the four wicket during powerplay phase. Ishan Kishan smashed 33 runs from 11 balls, including three fours and three sixes.

RR bowlers pushed SRH back by taking wickets at regular intervals. Allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 38 from 20 balls while impact player Salil Arora made 35 off 21. Shivang Kumar was final batter dismissed by Sushant Mishra after scoring 27 runs from 24 balls.

With this win, Rajasthan Royals are set to face Gujarat Titans in qualifier two.
