England left arm spinner Jack Leach ruled out of remainder of the test series against India due to knee injury. Leach injured his left knee during the first test and missed the second test. England will not be calling up a replacement for Leach.

Leach bowled 26 overs in first innings and only 10 overs in second innings in England’s 28 run win over India in first test. He picked Indian captain Rohit Sharma in first innings and Shreyas Iyer in second innings respectively.

“He will fly home from Abu Dhabi in the next 24 hours , where England team have been staying ahead of the third test in Rajkot , which starts on Thursday. Leach will work closely with the England and Somerset medical teams in respect of his rehabilitation.” ECB told in their statement.

Rehan Ahmed , Tom Hartley , Shoaib Bashir and Joe Root are the spinners available in England squad now. England squad will be back in India on Monday.
