BCCI announced Indian squad for the final 3 tests against England. Shreyas Iyer has been left out from the squad. K.L.Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja back in the squad.

K.L.Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja missed the second test in Visakhapatnam due to quadriceps and hamstring injuries respectively. However BCCI has clarified that their participation will be subject to clearance from medical team.

India will continue to miss their star batter Virat Kohli in this series due to personal reasons.

Shreyas had experienced back spasm during India’s series leveling win in second test. Shreyas who is going through the lean patch struggled to make an impact in the first two tests. He scored 35 and 13 in Hyderabad and 27 and 29 in Vishakhapatnam.

Rajat Patidar and Sarfaraz Khan retained their place in the squad. Bengal seamer Akash deep got a maiden test call up.
