Australia beat India by 79 runs to lift their fourth under-19 cricket world cup title. Elected to bat first Australia set India 254 run target and bowled India out for 174 in 43.5 overs. Mahli Beardman named Player of the Match for his spell of 3 wickets for 15 runs.

Opener Hary Dixon (42 runs from 56 balls) and captain Hugh Weibgen (48 runs from 66 balls) given Australia good start after loosing Sam Konstas (0 runs from 8 balls) early. Left arm seamer Naman Tiwari brought India back by dismissing both batters in quick succession.

Harjas Singh (55 runs from 64 balls) , Ryan Hicks (20 runs from 25 balls) and Oliver Peake (46* runs from 43 balls) innings helped Australia to set India 254 run chase.

Raj Limbani once again impressed with his spell of 3 wickets for 38 runs in 10 overs. Naman Tiwari (2/63 in 9 overs) , Saumy Pandey (1/41 in 10 overs) and Musheer Khan (1/46 in 9 overs) are the wicket takers for India.

India lost their opener Arshin Kulkarni (3 runs from 6 balls) early in the chase. Australian bowlers didn’t allowed Indian batters to score freely by picking wickets at regular intervals. 7 Indian batters got out in single digit score.

Adarsh Singh (47 runs from 77 balls) , Murugan Abhishek (42 runs from 46 balls) and Musheer Khan (22 runs from 33 balls) are the main scorers for India.

Mahli Beardman picked 3 important wickets for just 15 runs in his 7 overs. Raf MacMillan picked 3 wickets for 43 runs in his 10. Callum Vilder (2/35 in 10 overs) , Tom Straker (1/32 in 7.5 overs) and Charlie Anderson (1/42 in 9 overs) are the wicket takers for Australia.
