Following a strong first ODI win, India will look to maintain their winning run against West Indies in the second ODI in Guwahati. Kuldeep’s four wicket haul, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill’s centuries helped India chase down West Indies target in Trivandrum easily.

West Indies, looking to stay alive in the series need to fix their problems before facing India in the second ODI. Their openers John Campbell and Justin Greaves gave them a strong start sharing a 135 run opening partnership in the first ODI. At one stage 350 looked possible but West Indies lost momentum and finally finished at 295/7 in their 50 overs.

Opener Justin Greaves, who hit a century in the first ODI will miss the second match due to a calf injury. Their bowling looked ordinary in the first ODI but bowling under dew made the task much harder.

Team India are unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI from the first ODI. Three all rounders, Nitish Kumar Reddy , Ravindra Jadeja and Naman Dhir played the first ODI while Mohammed Siraj was left out. If the team management gives Siraj or Aquib Nabi an opportunity one of the all rounders may sit out.
