Srilanka face an injury concern as Kusal Mendis and Dinesh Chandimal will miss the second Test against India. Pathum Nissanka is also unlikely to recover in time for the next test. They will enter the must win Test in Colombo without their three main batters. Trailing 1-0 in the two match Test series, Srilanka face a must win match after losing the first test against India.
Kusal Mendis has been sidelined since injuring his hamstring during the Lanka Premier League keeping him out of action. Niroshan Dickwella replaced him in the first Test and scored 80 runs in the first innings at Galle.

Pasindu Sooriyabandara replaced Dinesh Chandimal as a concussion substitute but was dismissed off the very first ball he faced.
Pathum Nissanka has not yet recovered from wrist surgery he underwent in June and remains unlikely to play the second test.
