In a high scoring game at Wankhede stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Mumbai Indians by 18 runs. Royal challengers Bengaluru set a 241 run target and restricted Mumbai Indians to 222 for 8. Phil Salt was named Player of the Match for his explosive 78 runs off 36 balls.

Openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave Royal Challengers Bengaluru a fantastic start with 120 run opening stand. Phil Salt was the aggressor among the two, scoring 78 off 36 balls.

After the fall of Phil Salt, captain Rajat Patidar played a blistering 53 runs off 20 ball innings. Virat Kohli at the other end completed yet another half century for RCB. He scores 50 runs from 38 balls.

Tim David unbeaten 34 off 16 innings at the end took RCB to 240/4.

Surya Kumar Yadhav (33 off 22) and Hardik Pandya (40 off 22) fought hard for Mumbai Indians in the chase.

Sherfane Rutherford played a blinder of inning, scoring 71 off 31 balls including 9 sixes. But the target was too high as Mumbai fell short by 18 runs.
