Both added a blistering 120 runs for the opening stand in just eight overs, setting a strong foundation. Shashank Singh struck in the ninth over, making a double breakthrough by dismissing both openers in quick succession.

Abhishek Sharma looked more dangerous smashing 74 runs off 28 balls with aggressive strokeplay and dominating the opposition bowlers. In his knock he hit 5 fours and 8 sixes. At the other end, Travis Head scored a steady 38 runs from 23 balls.
