Punjab Kings chase down another 200 plus total in Indian Premier League showcasing their fearless batting dominance again. Batted first, Sunrises set a 220 run target, which Punjab Kings chased down with ease in 19th over. Shreyas Iyer was named Player of the Match for his brilliant 69 runs off 33 balls.

Sunrises Hyderabad Innings

Left handed openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head gave Sunrises Hyderabad another fantastic start. Both added a blistering 120 runs for the opening stand in just eight overs, setting a strong foundation. Shashank Singh struck in the ninth over, making a double breakthrough by dismissing both openers in quick succession.

Abhishek Sharma looked more dangerous smashing 74 runs off 28 balls with aggressive strokeplay and dominating the opposition bowlers. In his knock he hit 5 fours and 8 sixes. At the other end, Travis Head scored a steady 38 runs from 23 balls.

Ishan Kishan (27 off 17) , Heinrich Klaasen (39 off 33) and Aniket Verma (18 off 9) powered them to 219 for 6.

Openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh gave Punjab Kings the strong start needed in the huge run chase. They raced to 99 runs in just 6.2 overs before Shivang Kumar dismissed Priyansh Arya, breaking the partnership. He scored 57 runs from 20 balls including five fours and five sixes.

Wicketkeeper batter Prabhsimran Singh made a useful 51 runs from 25 balls before he got out. From 99 for no loss, Punjab Kings slipped slightly to 128 for three. Then captain Shreyas Iyer played a match winning 69 off 33 balls, guiding them home in 18.5 overs.

Impact Player Nehal Wadhera made 14 runs from 14 balls.
