Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrises Hyderabad will face each other in qualifier 1 at Ahmedabad. The winning team will reach the final directly and the loosing team will get another opportunity in qualifier 2.

Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrises Hyderabad by 4 runs at Eden Garden when both teams met at the league stage of the tournament. Harshit Rana defended 13 runs in the final over to give KKR thrilling last ball win.
England player and KKR opener Phil Salt has left the team for national duty. Rahmullah Gurbaz is likely to replace Salt. Nitish Rana is fit again and could stay in the team as an impact player.
