Dhruv Jurel (90 runs from 149 balls) , Ravichandran Ashwin (5/51 in 15.5 overs) and Kuldeep Yadhav (4/22 in 15 overs) put India in the driver’s seat. Chasing 192 run target in the fourth innings India were 40/0 at the end of day 3 of fourth test.

Dhruv Jurel along with tailenders Kuldeep Yadhav (28 runs from 131 balls) and Akash Deep (9 runs from 29 balls) reduced the Indian deficit to just 46 runs in first innings.

Offspinner Shoaib Bashir picked his first five wicket haul for England. He picked 5 wickets for 119 runs in his 44 overs. Tom Hartley (3/68 in 27.2 overs) and James Anderson (2/48 in 18 overs) are the other wicket takers for England.

Ashwin who opened the bowling for India pushed England back by picking Ben Duckett (15 runs from 15 balls) and Ollie Pope (0 runs from 1 ball) in consecutive balls when score reaches just 19.

Indian spinners put England batters under pressure by picking wickets at regular intervals and bowled them out for just 145. Opener Zak Crawley (60 runs from 91 balls) and Jonny Bairstow (30 runs from 42 balls) are the top scorer for England.
