India beat England by 106 runs in second test and level the 5 match test series 1-1. Chasing 399 run target England bowled out for 292 runs. Jasprit Bumrah named player of the match for his spell of 6/45 & 3/46.

England batters Zak Crawley (73 runs from 132 balls) and Rehan Ahmed (23 runs from 31 balls) started the day with a positive mind set by scoring at good run rate. Axar Patel given India the first break through by trapping Rehan Ahmed in front of the stumps.

Ashwin given India firm grip in the match by dismissing Ollie Pope (23 runs from 21 balls) and Joe Root (16 runs from 10 balls). Zak Crawley adjusted lbw off Kuldeep Yadhav in the second last over and Bumrah trapped Bairstow in front of the stumps in last over before lunch.

England scored 127 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in first session of the day. At the end of first session they were 194/6.

Shreyas Iyer’s stunning direct hit ended England captain Ben Stokes (11 runs from 29 balls) innings in post lunch session. Stokes miscalculated the run as he looked to be jogging for the most part of it.

Ben Foakes (36 runs from 69 balls) and Tom Hartley (36 runs from 47 balls) fights for England with 55 run partnership for the eight wicket. Bumrah broke the partnership by dismissing Ben Foakes and put India closer to win.

Pacer Mukesh Kumar dismissed debutant Shoaib Bashir and took his first wicket of the match. Jasprit Bumrah clean bowled Tom Hartley to finish the match to give India 106 run and level the series 1-1.

Jasprit Bumrah (3/46 in 17.2 overs) , Ravichandran Ashwin (3/72 in 18 overs) , Mukesh Kumar (1/26 in 5 overs) , Kuldeep Yadhav (1/60 in 15 overs) and Axar Patel (1/75 in 14 overs) are the wicket takers for India in second innings.

Indian spinner Ashwin is now just one wicket away from achieving the milestone of 500 wickets in tests.
