Angelo Mathews becomes first player in international cricket to be timed out during the match against Bangladesh in Arun Jaitley Stadium , Delhi. This mode of dismissal is rare in cricket but legal according to the rule of cricket.
According to the rule of cricket incoming batsman should be ready to face the ball within 2 minutes in ODI cricket , 3 minutes in Test and 90 seconds in T20I.

Mathews came to bat in the 25th over after the fall of Sadeera Samarawickrama. Before taking guard he asked for new helmet when it’s strap broke without consulting to the umpire or Bangladesh captain Shakib.
When Shakib appealed for timed out Umpires have no option but to given out. As per the rule the new batter should be ready to face the ball within 2 minutes in ODI cricket.
The batter remonstrated with the umpires before leaving the pitch , shaking his head in dismay. He throw his helmet in anger soon after crossing the boundary.
