After a convincing win in the first T20I, India are set to face West Indies in the second match at Ranchi. India aim to continue their winning run while West Indies look to bounce back. Match will begin at 7 PM IST under the lights tonight.

Captain Shreyas Iyer’s first T20I century helped India chase down 172 runs in less than 15 overs during the first T20I. In his unbeaten 102 run knock off 43 balls, Shreyas hit 10 fours and 6 sixes to lead India’s chase. Indian spinners dominated the West indies batting lineup, taking seven of the ten wickets.

Sanju Samson’s poor form with the bat remains a major concern for India as they prepare for the second T20I. After back to back fifties against Afghanistan, Sanju Samson struggled in the Asian Games and first T20I against West Indies. He will be eager to score runs to regain his confidence.

In the first T20I, captain Shai Hope scored 52 and Sherfane Rutherford made 56 while other West Indies batters failed. They need their batters to perform well and score more runs to beat India.

India are likely to continue with the same playing XI from the first T20I. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi may need to wait for his chance as India are likely to continue with Sanju-Abhishek opening pair. The Indian team has no injury concerns. If India decide to make a change, Prince Yadav could replace Mayank Yadhav in the playing XI.

The JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi is expected to offer a good batting surface. Historically, the surface has been slow, offering more help to spinners as the match progresses. Dew is expected later in the evening, so the team winning the toss will likely choose chasing.

Cloudy skies and a threat of rain could affect the match, but a complete washout is unlikely.
