Pacer Jasprit Bumrah rested for the fourth test against England which is scheduled to be held on February 23 in Ranchi. He bowled 80.5 overs and picked 17 wickets from the first 3 tests so far. He is the leading wicket taker of the series.

The decision to give Bumrah a break has been made keeping his workload in mind with an IPL season coming followed by T20 world cup beginning on June1.

As part of workload management India earlier rested Mohammad Siraj from the second test before he returned to play for the third test.

K.L.Rahul who misses 2nd and 3rd test will miss the 4th test as well. He has not been able to recover from right quadriceps injury.

Pacer Mukesh Kumar , who was released from the Indian squad for the third test in Rajkot to play Ranji trophy game for Bengal has joined the squad in Ranchi.
