Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed will miss the two match test series against New Zealand due to shoulder injury. He missed two World Cup matches and ended with 5 wickets from 7 matches. Taskin is set to begin rehabilitation shortly and is in contention to play three match T20I series against New Zealand.
“I was playing with a tear in my shoulder and I couldn’t find my best rhythm in the World Cup. I will not be playing the test series against New Zealand at home in the coming winter and I want to start rehabilitation after taking some rest and hoping to be available for the T20I against New Zealand that is scheduled after home series against them” Taskin said
Bangladesh will miss the service of Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal also due to injury for the test series against Kiwis. Shakib injured his thumb during the World Cup and it is unclear about Tamim’s back injury.
Bangladesh had a miserable World cup campaign winning just 2 games out of the 9 games played by them.
