In the 1000th IPL match Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals by 6 wickets in high scoring last over thriller. They chased down 213 runs target set by Rajasthan Royals in 19.3 overs with 6 wickets remaining.

17 runs needed in the final over Tim David (45* runs from 14 balls) hits three consecutive sixes in first three balls of the final over bowled by Jason Holder to give Mumbai thrilling win.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s (124 runs from 62 balls) century with 16 fours and 8 sixes powers Rajasthan Royals to 212/7 in 20 overs. No other batters except him scored more than 20 in their innings.

Arshad Khan (3/39 in 3 overs) , Piyush Chawla (2/34 in 4 overs) , Jofra Archer (1/35 in 4 overs) and Riley Meredith (1/51 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for Mumbai.

Mumbai lost Rohit Sharma (3 runs from 5 balls) early in the chase. Sandeep Sharma clean bowled him in the last ball of the second over.

Ishan Kishan (28 runs from 23 balls) , Cameron Green (44 runs from 26 balls) , Suryakumar Yadhav (55 runs from 29 balls) , Tilak Varma (29* runs from 21 balls) and Tim David (45* runs from 14 balls) contributed well for Mumbai win.

Mumbai build 3 fifty plus partnership in their innings while chasing huge total. Tilak Varma and Tim David put together 62 runs unbroken partnership from just 23 balls when they needed 61 runs from 26 balls.

R Ashwin (2/27 in 4 overs) once again bowled well for his side. He became the second Indian to take 300 T20 wickets. Y Chahal is the first Indian to reach this milestone.
