India and West Indies fined for slow over rate by ICC in first T20I that took place in Tarouba. West Indies won the first T20I by 4 runs and took 1-0 lead in five match series.
India fell an over short during their bowling which lead to 5% of fine and on other hand West Indies fell short by 2 overs which lead to fine of 10% of match fees.

The fines were in accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel which relates to minimum over rate offences.
According to the law players will be fined 5% of their match fees for every over they failed complete in time subject to maximum of 50% of match fee.
West Indies captain Rovman Powel and Indian Captain Hardik Pandya admitted the offence.
