Afghanistan beat Pakistan by 8 wickets and register their first win in ODIs against Pakistan. Chasing 283 run target Afghanistan chased it down in the 49th over with 8 wickets remaing. Ibrahim Zadran named Player of the Match for his knock of 87 runs from 113 balls.

Captain Babar Azam (74 runs from 92 balls) and Abdullah Shafique (58 runs from 75 balls) innings given Pakistan the start needed. Afghanistan bowlers kept it tight in the middle phase of the innings. Shadab Khan (40 runs from 38 balls) and Iftikhar Ahmed (40 runs from 27 balls) innings in the end helps them to reach 282/7.

Left arm spinner Noor Ahmed who made a comeback in to the playing XI picked 3 wickets by giving 49 runs in his 10 overs. Naveen-ul-Haq (2/52 in 7 overs) , Mohammad Nabi (1/31 in 10 overs) and Azmatullah Omrzai (1/50 in 5 overs) are the wicket takers for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan openers Ibrahim Zadran (87 runs from 113 balls) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (65 runs from 53 balls) given them a perfect start in the chase by scoring 130 runs in 21.1 overs. Shaheen Afridi broke the partnership by dismissing dangerous Gurbaz.

Rahmat Shah (77 runs from 84 balls) and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi (48* runs from 45 balls) unbroken partnership of 96 runs from 93 balls for the third wicket helps Afghanistan to reach target in 49th over with 8 wickets remaining.

Shaheen Shah Afridi (1/58 in 10 overs) and Hasan Ali (1/44 in 10 overs) are the wicket takers for Pakistan.
