Mohammad Shami (5/54 in 10 overs) and Virat Kohli (95 runs from 104 balls) helps India beat New Zealand by 5 wickets. Elected to bowl first India bowled out New Zealand for 273 in 50 overs and chased it down in 48th over with 4 wickets remaining.
Daryl Mitchell (130 runs from 127 balls) and Rachin Ravindra (75 runs from 87 balls) partnership of 159 runs from 152 balls put New Zealand in a commanding position after loosing their openers Devon Conway (0 run from 9 balls) and Will Young (17 runs from 27 balls) cheaply.

Both Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell was lucky that Indian fielders dropped straight forward catches. Ravindra Jadeja who is one of the best fielders in world cricket dropped Rachin Ravindra when he was batting on 12 off Mohammad Shami.
India dropped Daryl Mitchell dropped twice in the field. Indian wicket keeper K.L.Rahul dropped him on 60 off Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah dropped him on 69 off Kuldeep Yadhav. Shami finally given India the break through by dismissing Rachin Ravindra.
Indian bowlers made a strong comeback in the last 15 overs by picking 7 wickets for just 86 runs to bowled New Zealand out for 273. Mohammad Shami done most of the damage with his spell of 5/54 in 10 overs.

Kuldeep Yadhav who was key for India in middle overs was expensive in his 10 over spell. He given 73 runs and picked Glenn Philips and Tom Latham. Jasprit Bumrah (1/45 in 10 overs) and Mohammad Siraj (1/45 in 10 overs) are the other wicket takers for India.

Daryl Mitchell’s career best of 130 helps New Zealand to reach 273.
Rohit Sharma (46 runs from 40 balls) and Shubman Gill (26 runs from 31 balls) given India a quick start in the chase by scoring 71 runs in 11.1 overs. Lockie Ferguson dismissed both the openers in quick succession to push India back.
Shreyas Iyer (33 runs from 29 balls) who looks in good touch fell to the short ball of Trent Boult. Devon Conway took a brilliant catch to dismiss him. Later K.L.Rahul (27 runs from 35 balls) was trapped in front of the stumps by Santner and Suryakumar Yadhav’s first innings in ODI world cup ended in run out.
Virat Kohli (95 runs from 104 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (39* runs from 44 balls) partnership of 78 runs from 83 balls rescued India from 191/5 to win the match. Kohli got out to Henry while trying to hit a six to complete his century and to finish the match. Jadeja along with Shami finishes the match and makes it 5 out of 5 for India in this World Cup so far.
Lockie Ferguson (2/63 in 8 overs) , Mitchell Santner (1/3/ in 10 overs) , Matt Henry (1/55 in 9 overs) and Trent Boult (1/60 in 10 overs) are the wicket takers for New Zealand.
