Jasprit Bumrah all set to lead India in his comeback series after a year break due to injury which comprises of 3 T20I against Ireland.

“I was bowling normally”. Bumrah said after his first net session with Indian team in a year. “It’s not like I am holding back. I am enjoying it. I have done a lot of net sessions. When my rehab finished I went home. I practiced with Gujarat as well.” Bumrah said.

Bumrah suffered lower-back stress fractures which he suffered during a home series against Australia before the T20 World Cup last year.

Rinku Singh and Jithesh Sharma earn their maiden India call. Prasidh Krishna , Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube made a come back to the Indian squad. Prasidh Krishna returning to cricket from a lumbar stress fracture which kept him out of the game since August 2022.

Paul Striling will lead the Irish squad. They recalled leg spinner Gareth Delany who was out due to injury and all-rounder Fionn Hand. Ireland qualified for next year T20 world cup along with Scotland which is to be played in West Indies and USA.
