India beat West Indies by 1 wicket in first ODI at Kensington Oval and goes 1-0 up in the three match series. After bowled out West Indies for 114 India chased it down in 22.5 overs with 5 wickets remaining.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and put West Indies into bat. Indian spinners Kuldeep Yadhav and Ravindra Jadeja rattled West Indies batting line up.

Kuldeep Yadhav picked 4 wickets for giving just 6 runs in his 3 over spell including 2 maidens. Ravindra Jadeja (3/37 in 6 overs) also shines with the ball for India.
West Indies captain Shai Hope (43 runs from 45 balls) and Alick Athanaze (22 runs from 18 balls) are the only batters scored more than 20. Opener Brandon King (17 runs from 23 balls) was the next top scorer for them.

Shardul Thakur (1/14 in 3 overs) , Hardik Pandya (1/17 in 3 overs) and Mukesh Kumar (1/22 in 5 overs) took one wicket each for India.
India experimented a lot in their batting line up chasing modest total of 115. Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill opened the batting for India. Jayden Seales dismissed S Gill for 7 in the last ball of the fourth over.

Suryakumar Yadhav who walks into bat at No.3 scored 19 runs from 23 balls. He was trapped infront of the stumps while trying to sweep Gudakesh Motie. India lost Hardik Pandya 5(7) and Shardul Thakur 1(4) cheaply.

Ishan Kishan (52 runs from 46 balls) innings made the Indian chase easy. Ravindra Jadeja (16* runs from 21 balls) and Indian captain Rohit Sharma (12* runs from 19 balls) who came to bat at 7 remains unbeaten.
Gudakesh Motie (2/26 in 6.5 overs) , Jayden Seales (1/21 in 4 overs) and Yannic Cariah (1/35 in 5 overs) are the wicket takers for West Indies.
