Australia were 61/1 at the end of Day 1 after bowled England out for 283 in the first innings.
After put into bat by Australian captain Pat Cummins, England openers Ben Duckett (41 runs from 41 balls) and Zak Crawley (22 runs from 37 balls) given them a quick start by scoring 62 runs for the first wicket.

Australia then dismissed both the openers and Joe Root ( 5 runs from 11 balls ) in quick succession to push England to 73/3. Harry Brook (85 runs from 91 balls) and Moeen Ali (34 runs from 47 balls) put together 111 runs from 108 balls which is the best partnership in England innings.

Todd Murphy clean bowled Moeen Ali to broke the century run fifth wicket partnership. England then lost their captain Ben Stokes (3 runs from 16 balls) and Jonny Bairstow (4 runs from 14 balls) quickly. Mitchell Starc bowled a beautiful delivery to clean bowled Ben Stokes.
M Starc also dismissed dangerous looking Harry Brook for 85. His innings includes 11 fours and 2 sixes.

Chris Woakes (36 runs from 36 balls) and Mark Wood (28 runs from 29 balls) attacking batting helps them to reach 283 at the end. Both put together 49 runs from 54 balls for the eight wicket.
Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers for Australia. He picked 4 wickets for 82 runs in 14.4 overs. Todd Murphy (2/22 in 6 overs) , Josh Hazlewood (2/54 in 13 overs) , Mitchell Marsh (1/43 in 8 overs) and Pat Cummins (1/66 in 13 overs) are the wicket takers for Australia.
Australian openers David Warner (24 runs from 52 balls) and Usman Khawaja gives them a decent start. Mark Wood given England the needed breakthrough by dismissing David Warner.
Usman Khawaja (26* runs from 75 balls) and Marnus Labuchagne (2* runs from 23 balls) were at the crease at end of Day1.
