Saud Shakeel (208* runs from 361 balls) helps Pakistan reach 461 runs in response to Srilanka’s first innings score of 312. His innings helps Pakistan took 149 runs first innings lead. Srilanka were 14/0 at the end of Day 3.
Saud Shakeel and Agha Salman duo resumed Pakistan innings on 221/5 added another 57 runs for the sixth wicket on Day 3 before Ramesh Mendis dismissed Agna Salman for 83. They put together 177 runs for the sixth wicket.
Pakistan tailenders Noman Ali (25 runs from 57 balls) , Shaheen Shah Afridi (9 runs from 14 balls) , Naseem Shah (6 runs from 78 balls) and Abrar Ahmed (10 runs from 12 balls) stood with Saud Shakeel to help Pakistan reach 461.
Saud Shakeel who scored his first double century for Pakistan was lucky that he was dropped twice by Srilanka on 93 and 139. Nishan Madushka dropped him first on 93 and then by Angelo Mathews on 139.
