India beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets in first Women T20I of three match series in Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. Elected to bowl India restricted Bangladesh to 114/5 in 20 overs and chased it down in 16.2 overs with 7 wickets remaining.

Bangladesh openers Shathi Rani (22 runs from 26 balls) and Shamima Sultana (17 runs from 13 balls) gives a decent start to their side. Debutant Minnu Mani given India first breakthrough in her fourth ball of the first over at international level. She dismissed Shamima Sultana for 17.
Indian bowlers bowled well to restrict them to below par score of 114/5. Shorna Akther (28* runs from 28 balls) was the top scorer for Bangladesh. Sobhana Mostary given useful contribution of 23 runs from 33 balls.
Pooja Vastrakar (1/16 in 4 overs) , Shafali Varma (1/18 in 3 overs) and Minnu Mani (1/21 in 3 overs) are the wicket takers for India.

India lost Shafali Varma 0(3) and Jemimah Rodrigues 11(14) early in the chase. Smriti Mandhana (38 runs from 34 balls) and Harmanpreet Kaur (54* runs from 35 balls) partnership of 70 runs from 55 balls made the Indian chase easy.

Sultana Khatun dismissed Smriti Mandhana when India are 24 more runs away from win. Harmanpreet Kaur and Yastika Bhatia (9 runs from 12 balls) done the job without any further damage.
Sultana Khatum (2/25 in 4 overs) and Marufa Akter (1/18 in 3 overs) are the wicket taker for Bangladesh.
