Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal reverses his retirement decision a day after his retirement announcement. The decision came after his meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The meeting took place at Prime Minister’s residence in Dhaka. Tamim Iqbal accompanied by his wife , former captain Mashrafe Mortaza and BCB president Nazmul Hassan.

“The honourable Prime Minister invited me to her residence. We had a long discussion after which she instructed me to return to cricket. I am withdrawing my retirement.

“I can say no to anyone but it is impossible to say no to the most important person of the country.PM gave me one and half months break for my treatment and other things. After becoming mentally free I will play the rest of the matches“. Tamim said.
