Australia beat India by 209 and lift their first ICC World Test Championship Title. Chasing 444 runs they bowled India out for 234 in the fourth innings of the match.

Needed 280 more runs with 7 wickets remaining India lost all the 7 wickets for just 70 runs in the first session of day 5.

Nathan Lyon done most of the damage to India in the second innings by picking 4 wickets for 41 runs in 15.3 overs. Scott Boland took 3 wickets for 46 runs in his 16 overs.

Scott Boland dismissed Virat Kohli (49 runs from 78 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja 0(2) within the gap of 3 balls changed the game in Australia’s favor quickly. India then lost wickets at regular intervals and bowled out for 234.

Ajinkya Rahane scored 46 runs from 108 balls. He scored 89 runs in the first innings. Indian wicket Keeper Batter K S Bharath scored 23 runs from 41 balls.

Mitchell Starc (2/77 in 14 overs) and Pat Cummins (1/55 in 13 overs) are the other wicket takers for Australia.
