M.S.Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings and Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans will face each other for the IPL 2023 final on Sunday. CSK aims for their fifth and Gujarat their second consecutive IPL title.
Dhoni lead CSK to their 10th IPL final and Hardik lead GT their 2nd. Out of the 9 IPL finals played CSK won four times. Hardik lead Gujarat to the title winners in their first IPL season in 2022.
In the opening match of the season Gujarat Titans beat Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets and in the qualifier 1 CSK beat Gujarat Titans by 15 runs.
Gujarat Titans had a strong batting and bowling line up compared to CSK. S Gill who is in extraordinary form hits 3 centuries in the tournament so far lead them to the title clash. CSK will be desperate to get him early to clinch the trophy.
Mohammed Shami (28 wickets from 16 matches) , Rashid Khan (27 wickets from 16 matches) and Mohit Sharma (24 wickets from 13 matches) the top three wicket takers of the tournament is from Gujarat side.
CSK on the other hand had a good batting line up but their bowling department is weak. M.S.Dhoni’s leadership qualities made a huge difference to help them to reach the final again.
