Defending champions Gujarat Titans and four time champions Chennai Super Kings will face each other in Qualifier 1 at Chepauk. Gujarat finishes at top of the points table and Chennai finishes on second.

Gujarat Titans beat Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets in the opening match of the season. They looks to repeat the same in qualifier 1 also.

Chennai openers D Conway and R Gaikwad in good form and gives them a good start in most of the matches. S Dube’s six hitting ability is also an advantage for them. CSK has bowling issues especially in the powerplay. They have good experienced spinners in their line up but need to improve in their pace department.

Gujarat Titans the best side of the tournament so far has a formidable batting and bowling line up. Their opener S Gill is in form of his life played a sublime innings against RCB chasing 198 in last game. H Pandya , D Miller and the finisher R Tewatia makes it tough for any bowler.

Mohammed Shami’s outstanding skill with the new ball , Mohit Sharma’s excellent comeback and Afghan spinners R Khan and Noor Ahamed makes it tough for the batters this season.
