Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings comfortably by 32 runs and goes to the top of the table. This was Rajasthan Royals second win in the season against M.S.Dhoni’s CSK. Batted first Rajasthan set Chennai 203 run target. For the first time a team scored more than 200 runs at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in IPL history. CSK’s innings ended on 170/6 in 20 overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal (77 runs from 43 balls) with 8 fours and 4 sixes , Dhruv Jurel (34 runs from 15 balls) and Devdutt Padikkal’s (27 runs from 13 balls) cameos helped Rajasthan to score 202/5 in 20 overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler set the platform for RR by scoring 86 runs for the opening wicket in 8.2 overs. The partnership broken by R Jadeja when S Dube caught J Buttler on long off. He scored 27 runs from 21 balls.

D Jurel and D Padikkal scored brisk 48 runs from 20 balls for the fifth wicket helps them to finish the innings strongly.

CSK spinners Maheesh Theekshana (1/24 in 4 overs) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/32 in 4 overs) bowled well to control the flow of runs. The pace bowlers went for too many runs which costs them badly.

Tushar Deshpande (2/42 in 4 overs) is the other wicket taker for CSK.

Australian leggie Adam Zampa (3/22 in 3 overs) who bowled well by picking Devon Conway (8 runs from 16 balls) , Ruturaj Gaikwad (47 runs from 29 balls) and Moeen Ali (23 runs from 12 balls). R Ashwin (2/35 in 4 overs) who dismissed A Rahane (15 runs from 13 balls) and A Rayudu (0 runs from 2 balls) in the 11th over of the innings.

S Dube (52 runs from 33 balls) with 2 fours and 4 sixes continued his good form with the bat for CSK. Ravindra Jadeja (23* runs from 15 balls) remains not out.

Rajasthan Royals on the special occasion of playing their 200th match becomes more fruitful when they beat CSK by 32 runs.
