Batters and bowlers gives Gujarat Titans big win against Mumbai

Gujarat Titans all round show with both bat and ball gives them 55 runs comfortable win against Mumbai Indians. They restricted Mumbai Indians to 152/9 in 20 overs after setting them 208 run target. Abhinav Manohar named Player of the Match for his 42 runs from 21 balls knock.

Shubman Gill (56 runs from 34 balls) , David Miller (46 runs from 22 balls) , Abhinav Manohar (42 runs from 21 balls) and Rahul Tewatia (20* runs from 5 balls) helps them to score 207/6.

David Miller and Abhinav Manohar’s brisk partnership of 71 runs from 35 balls helps them to score heavily in final overs. D Milller along with R Tewatia also scored 33 runs from just 10 balls for the sixth wicket. Gujarat batters scored 77 runs in last 5 overs.

Arjun Tendulkar who opened the bowling again for Mumbai bowled two overs and picked the wicket of W Saha by giving 9 runs. Their experienced pace bowlers were expensive in their spell.

Piyush Chawla (2/34 in 4 overs) , Arjun Tendulkar (1/9 in 2 overs) , Jason Behrendorff (1/37 in 4 overs) and Riley Meredith (1/49 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for Mumbai.

Hardik Pandya dismissed Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma (2 runs from 8 balls) early in the chase. Rashid Khan dismissed Ishan Kishan (13 runs from 21 balls) who struggled and Tilak Varma (2 runs from 3 balls) in the 8th over of innings and pushed them back.

Nehal Wadhera (40 runs from 21 balls) , Cameron Green (33 runs from 26 balls) and Suryakumar Yadhav (23 runs from 12 balls) are the top scorers for Mumbai.

Mohammed Shami (0/18 in 4 overs) bowled superbly but went wicketless. Afghan spinners Noor Ahmed (3/37 in 4 overs) and Rashid Khan (2/27 in 4 overs) bowled beautifully in the middle phase by picking 5 wickets together to halt the Mumbai chase.

Mohit Sharma (2/38 in 4 overs) and Hardik Pandya (1/10 in 2 overs) are the other wicket takers for Gujarat Titans.

With this 55 runs win Gujarat moved to second place in the table. They won 5 out of the 7 games played.
