Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 runs in high scoring thriller in M Chinnasamy stadium, Bangalore. Chasing 227 run target RCB fell short by 8 runs. Devon Conway named Player of the Match for his 83 runs from 45 balls innings.

Devon Conway and Ajinkya Rahane (37 runs from 20 balls) partnership of 74 runs from just 43 balls set the momentum for CSK after loosing Ruturaj Gaikwad 3(6) early. Srilankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga clean bowled A Rahane and given RCB the much needed breakthrough.

Devon Conway (83 runs from 45 balls) with 6 fours and 6 sixes along with Shivam Dube (52 runs from 27 balls) with 2 fours and 5 sixes explosive partnership of 80 runs from 37 balls helps CSK to set a huge target of 227. Moeen Ali (19* runs from 9 balls) , Ambati Rayudu (14 runs from 6 balls) and R Jadeja (10 runs from 8 balls) are the other scorers for CSK.

CSK captain M.S.Dhoni who faced only one ball and remains not out on 1.

Except Mohammed Siraj (1/30 in 4 overs) all other bowlers economic rate was above 10. Wanindu Hasaranga (1/21 in 2 overs) , Glenn Maxwell (1/28 in 2.4 overs) , Harshal Patel (1/36 in 3.2 overs) . Wayne Parnell (1/48 in 4 overs) and Vijaykumar Vyshak (1/62 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for RCB.

CSK spinners Maheesh Theekshana dismissed dangerous G Maxwell and Moeen Ali dismissed RCB captain Faf du Plessis and brought them back in game.

Dinesh Karthik (28 runs from 14 balls) with 3 fours and 1 six and impact player Suyash Prabhudessai (19 runs from 11 balls) with 2 sixes fights for RCB but they fell short by 8 runs.
