Samson and Hetmyer helps Rajastan Royals beat Gujarat Titans by 3 wickets

Sanju Samson (60 runs from 32 balls) and Shimron Hetmyer (56* runs from 26 balls) guides Rajasthan Royals to 3 wicket win over Gujarat Titans. With this win they stay at the top of the table. Batted first Gujarat Titans set 178 run target and Rajasthan Royals chased it down in 19.2 overs with 3 wickets remaining.

Trent Boult once again picked wicket in his opening over of the match by dismissing W Saha for 4(3). Rajasthan Royals picked second wicket in the power play by dismissing Sai Sudharsan (20 runs from 19 balls). His innings ended in run out after he and Gill ran for single of a misfield.

Shubman Gill (45 runs from 34 balls) , Hardik Pandya (28 runs from 19 balls) , David Miller (46 runs from 30 balls) and Abhinav Manohar (27 runs from 13 balls) helps them to set Rajasthan Royals 178 run target. They were 15-20 run short considering the dew factor in night matches.

Sandeep Sharma (2/25 in 4 overs) bowled an economical spell for Rajasthan Royals. Adam Zampa (1/32 in 4 overs) , Yuzvendra Chahal (1/36 in 4 overs) and Trent Boult (1/46 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for Rajasthan Royals.

Gujarat Titans pacers Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya bowled a dream spell in the power play. H Pandya dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal for 1 and M Shami clean bowled dangerous Jos Buttler for a duck. Rajasthan Royals scored only 26 runs in the power play.

Devdutt Padikkal (26 runs from 25 balls) and Sanju Samson put together 43 runs from 34 balls for the third wicket. Rashid Khan broke the partnership by dismissing Devdutt Padikkal. Riyan Parag (5 runs from 7 balls) who walked to bat at No.5 also fell cheaply to Rashid Khan.

S Hetmyer along with Dhruv Jurel (18 runs from 10 balls) put together another brisk partnership of 47 runs from 20 balls brought them closer to victory. S Hetmyer who remains unbeaten finishes the game with a six in second ball of the final over.

R Ashwin (10 runs from 3 balls) who came to bat in 19th over hit a four and six in first two balls of Mohammed Shami also given valuable contribution to his side.

Mohammed Shami (3/25) , Rashid Khan (2/46) , Hardik Pandya (1/24) and Noor Ahmad (1/29) are the wicket takers for Gujarat Titans.
