Harry Brooks 100*(55) who scored first century of IPL 2023 season gives SRH 23 runs win against Kolkata Knight Riders. SRH set KKR 229 run target and restrict them to 205/7.

Harry Brooks 100 runs from just 55 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes and Aiden Makram 50 runs from 26 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes put together 72 runs partnership from 47 balls set the momentum after loosing Mayank Agarwal 9(13) and Rahul Tripathi 9(4) in the fifth over of the innings to A Russel.

Harry Brooks along with Abhishek Sharma 32(17) build another partnership of 72 runs from 33 balls helps SRH to set mammoth target of 229. Henrich Klassen 16*(6) remains not out with H Brooks.

Sunil Narine is the most economical bowler for KKR but he went wicketless in his 4 over spell by giving 28 runs. Andre Russell (3/22 in 2.1 overs) and Varun Chakravarthy (1/41 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for KKR.

KKR lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz 0(3) to B Kumar in first over , Venkatesh Iyer 10(11) and Sunil Narine 0(1) to Marco Jansen in fifth over when score reached just 20. KKR fought back with N Jagadheesan (36 runs from 21 balls) and Nithish Rana partnership of 62 runs from just 29 for the fourth wicket.

Andre Russell (3 runs from 6 balls) once again disappointed with the bat. He was caught by M Jansen off M Markande. Nithish Rana (75 runs from 45 balls) with 5 fours and 6 sixes played a captain’s innings and build 69 runs partnership from 39 balls with Rinku Singh (58 runs from 31 balls) gives hope but the target was too high.

Mayank Markande (2/27) , Marco Jansen (2/37) , B Kumar (1/29) , Umran Malik (1/36) and T Natarajan (1/54) are the wicket takers for Sunrises Hyderabad.
