Shardul Thakur’s 68(29) & 1/15 dream day on the field gives KKR 81 run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. From 89/5 in 11.3 overs Kolkata Knight Riders finishes on 204/7 in 20 overs and bowled out Royal Challengers Bangalore for 123 in 17.4 overs.

Shardul Thakur and Rinku Singh 46(33) partnership of 103 runs from just 47 balls rescued KKR from 89/5 to 204/7. S Thakur’s innings included 9 fours and 3 sixes. KKR opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz also given useful contribution with his well made 57 off 44 balls.

Left arm seamer David Willey (2/16) gives RCB early breakthroughs by dismissing KKR opener Venkatesh Iyer 3(7) and Mandeep Singh 0(1) in two consecutive deliveries in fourth over of the innings. KKR then lost their captain Nithish Rana 1(5) also cheaply to Bracewell.

Karn Sharma (2/26) who bowled the 12th over dismissed dangerous looking Rahmanullah Gurbaz and West Indian power hitter Andre Russel 0(1) and push them to a spot of bother. Then S Thakur and Rinku Singh show helps them to finish the innings strongly.

David Willey (2/16) , Karn Sharma (2/26) , M Bracewell (1/34) , H Patel (1/38) and M Siraj (1/44) are the wicket takers for RCB.

Virat Kohli 21(18) and Faf du Plesis 23(12) started well in the chase by scoring 44 runs in 4.5 overs. RCB batters had no answers when KKR spinners came into action. Varun Chakravarthy (4/15) , 19 year old Suyash Sharma (3/30) and Sunil Narine (2/16) together took 9 wickets for just 61 runs in 11.5 overs.
