B Rajapaksa , Arshdeep Singh shine in PBKS 7 run win over KKR under DLS method

Punjab Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 runs under the DLS method. Bhanuka Rajapaksa 50(32) blistering helps PBKS set KKR 192 run target and Arshdeep Singh excellent bowling figure of 3/19 restrict them to 146/7 in 16 overs when rain forced to call off the match.

Punjab Kings lost their opener Prabhsimran Singh early who played a cameo of 23 runs from 12 balls. S Dhawan 40(29) and Bhanuka Rajapaksha 50(32) partnership of 86 runs from 55 balls put them into a very strong position. Umesh Yadhav broke the partnership by dismissing B Rajapaksa.

Jitesh Sharma 21(11) , Sikandar Raza 16(13) , Saam Curran 26*(17) and Sharukh Khan 11*(7) helps them finish the innings strong.

Tim Southee (2/54) , Varun Chakravarthy (1/26) , Umesh Yadhav (1/27) and Sunil Narine (1/40) are the wicket takers for KKR.

KKR lost Mandeep Singh 2(4) , Anukul Roy 4(5) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz 22(16) inside the power play. Arsdeep Singh dismissed Mandeep Singh , Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Nathan Ellis dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz. At the end of the powerplay they were 46/3.

Venkatesh Iyer 34(28) along with Nitish Rana 24(17) put together 46 runs from 30 balls and with Andre Russel 35(19) scored 50 runs from 30 balls brought them back into the game. Punjab Kings bowlers picked their wickets at crucial junctures before rain forced to call off the match when KKR needed 46 more runs from 24 balls. They were 7 runs behind at this stage.
