Australia clinch the ODI series 2-1 after beating India by 21 runs in third and last ODI in Chennai. Chasing 270 India bowled out for 248 in 49.1 overs. Adam Zampa (4/45) and Ashton Agar (2/41) spell in the middle overs turn the game in their favor.
Australian openers Travis Head 33(31) and Mitchell Marsh 47(47) once again gives them a good start by scoring 68 runs in 10.5 overs. Hardik Pandya’s three quick wickets after the power play brought India back into the game.

David Warner who made a comeback into the side bats at No.4 and scores 23 runs off 31 balls. Most of the Australian batters got starts but failed to convert it to a big score. They bowled for 269 in 49 overs.
Hardik Pandya (3/44) , Kuldeep Yadhav (3/56) , Mohammed Siraj (2/37) and Axar Patel (2/57) are the wicket takers for India.
Rohit Sharma 30(17) and Shubman Gill 37(49) scored 65 runs in 9.1 overs before Sean Abbott dismissed dangerous looking Rohit Sharma. Later Adam Zampa trapped Shubman Gill infront of the stumps.

Virat Kohli 54(72) and K.L.Rahul 32(50) steadied the Indian innings with 69 run partnership from 93 balls for the third wicket. India then lost the momentum by loosing K.L.Rahul , Axar Patel 2(4) , Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadhav 0(1) in quick succession. Suryakumar Yadhav got out for golden duck in all three matches of the series.
Spinner Adam Zampa destroyed India’s last hopes by dismissing Hardik Pandya 40(40) and Ravindra Jadeja 18(33). Finally India bowled out for 248 and lose the match and series 2-1. This is India first ODI series lost since 2019. In 2019 India lost to Aaron Finch lead Australian side.
