Gujarat Giants beat Delhi Capitals by 11 runs and keep playoff hopes alive in Women IPL 2023. After put into bat Gujarat Giants scored 147/4 in 20 overs and bowled Delhi capitals for 136 in 18.4 overs. A Gardner named player of the match for his all round performance (51*(33) and 2/19).

After loosing Sophia Dunkley 4(6) in the first over Laura Wolvaart 57(45) along with Harleen Deol 31(33) and Ashleigh Gardner 51(33) put together 49 & 81 runs partnership for the second and third wicket set the momentum for Gujarat Giants. A Gardner flourish with the bat in last 5 overs by scoring 53 runs helps GG to set Delhi Capitals 148 run target.
Jess Jonassen (2/38) , Marizanne Kapp (1/24) and Arundhati Reddy (1/25) are the wicket takers for Delhi Capitals.
During the chase Delhi Capital lost Shafali Verma 8(7) , Meg Lanning 18(15) and Alice Capsey 22(11) in the power play. They scored 51 runs in the power play. Alice Capsey innings ended in run out after miscommunication with Jemimah Rodrigues.
Delhi lost wickets at regular intervals in the chase. Ashwani Kumari’s direct throw ended Marizanne Kapp 36(29) innings who looks in good touch with the bat. Delhi lost 8 wickets for 100 runs in 14.3 overs.
Arundhathi Reddy 25(17) and Shikha Pandey 8*(9) fights with 35 runs from 21 balls partnership for the 9th but Kim Garth broke the partnership by dismissing Arundhathi Reddy. A Gardner dismissed the last batter Poonam Yadhav 0(3) in the 19th over and gives Gujarat Giants crucial win in the tournament.
